To note, Athletic Therapy, Exercise Therapy and Massage Therapy are not the same professions as Physical Therapy and cannot be submitted under the same billing code. Physical Therapy is considered a primary care profession and does not require a physician's referral to attend. However, some insurance companies do still require you to have a physicians referral prior to submitting your billing. If this applies to you, please contact your family doctor to attain a requisition for your appointment.
