We offer both Acupuncture and Gunn IMS. Acupuncture is the use of traditional chinese medicine with acupuncture needles to release muscle spasm and tension. Gunn IMS is a Western based form of Acupuncture taught at the University of British Columbia that utilizes acupuncture needles to treat muscle spasm and tension. The difference between these two techniques is how it is applied. Acupuncture sessions tend to take longer and involve treating multiple regions of the body. IMS sessions can typically be done within a standard treatment session and treat disorders based on our understand of nerve pathway and neurological disorders.
